One sunny morning, Abdullah and his mom were going on a picnic. Abdullah was so excited! He held his mom’s hand as they walked through their cozy village. In the air, he could smell the sweet scent of flowers, and the sky was bright and blue.
When they reached a grassy field, Abdullah saw something amazing: a beautiful blue butterfly fluttering by. Its wings looked like tiny bits of the sky, and it danced from one flower to another.

Can you tell me what a blue butterfly is called in Arabic?
“فَرَاشَةٌ زَرْقَاء - Farāshatun Zarqāʼ”
“Wow, look at the butterfly, Ummi!” Abdullah shouted, letting go of his mom’s hand and chasing after it. The butterfly flew around, and Abdullah giggled as he tried to catch it.
Which coloured butterfly is your favourite?
Then, he saw a bunch of pretty pink flowers swaying in the breeze. Abdullah bent down to smell them. “Mmm, they smell so good!” he said, taking a big sniff.

Just then, Abdullah heard a splashing sound. He turned his head and saw a river, sparkling and jumping over rocks, making happy splishy-splashy noises. Abdullah clapped his hands and ran over to watch, laughing at the splashes.
“Ummi, who made all these beautiful things?” Abdullah asked, running back to his mom, who was laying out their picnic blanket.
His mom sat down and smiled. “Come here, Abdullah,” she said, patting a spot next to her. Abdullah plopped down beside her, curious as ever.
